I first got involved with lighting at a very young age by 'helping' my father light an amdram society. Some years later, working backstage provided a diversion whilst studying Mathematics at Bath University.

Voluntary work as a follow-spot operator at Brixton Academy in London led to lighting design fork for gigs there, London Forum, NEC Arena and London Arena.

I've designed lighting for a number of operas including Macbeth, Don Giovanni, Carmen, the award-winning Cosi fan Tutte at the QEH, Les Indes Galantes, Aida and La Gioconda. Other recent work includes Glastonbury Festival, Bath Festivals and Chippenham Folk Festival.
